Delivery methods
Standard Courier Post
Chemist Warehouse uses NZ Post for standard shipping within New Zealand. All parcels will be delivered to the address provided and will require a signature on receipt. It is recommended to provide a work address for delivery if no one is home during business hours. Due to security issues, the parcel cannot be left unattended. Where no one is home to sign for the parcel, a card will be left detailing the nearest NZ Post outlet where the parcel can be collected during normal business hours.
Some addresses with have an 'Authority To Leave' or ATL on them, which overrides the signature required order status. If ATL applies to your address, deliveries will be left there without needing a signature. Chemist Warehouse is not liable for any stolen in missing packages in these cases. We will endeavour to package orders in plain boxes and unmarked for privacy and security, however some very large items may be shipped in their original packaging.
It may be necessary for some orders to be shipped in more than one box from different distribution centres and therefore you may obtain these parcels at different times. You will be notified via email if there are any delays in obtaining any items on your order. Please Contact Us if you would like an alternative product or other arrangement.

Click & Collect
Our Click & Collect service allows you to purchase online, then collect your order from your local Chemist Warehouse store at your convenience. This service is offered free of charge. Orders must be collected from the store within 7 days or your order will be cancelled, with the cost of the items refunded, refunds may take 2-7 days to be processed. Fast Delivery
We also offer a Fast Delivery service which is available for online purchases in select areas. Where applicable products will be delivered from a nearby store, typically within 3 hours, subject to any delays outside of our control. Delivery
How long will my order take to get to me?
Chemist Warehouse will dispatch most orders within 1-2 business days Monday to Friday assuming all items are in stock. All other orders will be dispatched as quickly as possible thereafter.
Delivery times are reliant upon normal Courier Post delivery times and vary depending on where you live. Please allow 1-3 working days from the date of the order being shipped.
- For North Island addresses our delivery time frame is 1-2 business days.
- For South Island addresses our delivery time frame is 2-3 business days.
- For rural addresses or deliveries containing dangerous goods such as fragrances our delivery time frame is 2-3 business days.

What are the delivery options?
You will be able to select one of the following delivery methods at checkout:
- Standard Courier Post: allow up to 4 days from dispatch. Delivery timeframes depend on your location. Please visit our Shipping page for more information.
- Click & Collect: pick up your order at your preferred Chemist Warehouse store - typically ready to collect within 4 hours.
- Fast Delivery: a courier collects your order from a local Chemist Warehouse store - order by 4pm for same day delivery. Only available in select areas.
Delivery costs for your order will be displayed at checkout prior to payment.
How can I track my order?
During the fulfillment stage, the status of your order will be updated in your account. After your order has been dispatched, an email will be sent to you with a link to track your order via Courier Post.
In the event your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery date provided by Courier Post, please contact our Customer Service Team here to follow up with Courier Post directly.
What happens if I am not at home when my order is delivered?
Chemist Warehouse uses registered mail through Courier Post to deliver all parcels. In the event you are not at home to receive the parcel, a card will be left detailing the nearest Courier Post outlet where the parcel can be collected.
If your parcel has been redirected to the post office this will also show on your tracking number as ‘awaiting collection’ at the nominated post office where it will remain for approximately 7-14 days.
How do I change my address when placing a new order?
You can add items into your cart as normal and proceed to the checkout. Whilst in the secure checkout under the ‘Contact Details’ underneath the address section there is a box preselected “ship to the same address” if you unselect this option you will be provided with additional space to fill in an alternative address, fill in the details and continue as normal.
If you would like to permanently change your address on your account please contact our Customer Service Team here and they will alter it.
Please note that once your order has been dispatched we are unable to alter the address details.
How can I have my order left at my premises?
Whilst in the secure checkout in the delivery method section you can select the option “Parcel to be left at the premises if no one is available to accept it”.
Courier Post will leave the parcel out of street view and out of the weather. If these conditions cannot be met, your order will be carded to the closest local Courier Post outlet.
How does Fast Delivery work?
Our Fast Delivery service is available in select metro areas. If available in your area at the time of your order, you will be able to select ‘Fast Delivery” at the checkout and your order will delivered by a courier direct from your local store within 3 hours.

Prescriptions
Prescription orders require a valid prescription from a New Zealand registered prescriber. To learn more about ordering prescriptions, please visit our Prescriptions page.
Prescription orders are typically dispensed and dispatched within 1 business day of receiving your script. For some prescription items, you will need to have a discussion with a pharmacist to determine if it can be dispensed. You will receive an email detailing any action(s) required.
Once dispatched, prescription orders are subject to standard shipping timeframes. Please allow sufficient time for your prescription medication to be delivered so you do not run out. If you are posting a paper prescription to us, please also consider the time it is likely to take for this to reach us.
